Blue x Blue x Blue

Blue x Blue x Blue

Harmen Liemburg

Edition of 15

Harmen Liemburg approaches screen printing like an act of discovery, layering pigments by hand to explore how color behaves when it meets itself. Fascinated by the graphics of material culture, from traffic signs to candy packaging, he treats everyday design as a starting point rather than a destination. Blue x Blue x Blue continues that spirit: cheerful overprinting of multiple blues creating a textile-like texture that shifts as the eye travels across the piece.

Conceived specifically for silkscreen, the intersecting transparencies invite viewers into a gentle puzzle, distinguishing combinations of blue that converge and separate again. Inspired by Monica Rotgans’ writing on the history of pigments, this edition forms part of a broader color study where tranquility meets precision.

The screenprint is released as a limited edition of 15 pieces, hand signed by Harmen Liemburg, and accompanied by Sidedish certification. Lively yet decisive, a testament to the cheerful language of blue.

Framing Specifications

Available in White Oak and Light Oak Frame

Our framing offering is specific to each print series and is decided in tandem with the designers themselves. As an extension of the art itself, it's important they have a say in how the product is presented.

Making use of an Amsterdam-based framer, we offer sturdy, high-quality aluminium and oak options. All frames have a premium plexiglass casing, giving a similarly clear effect to glass but with added durability. This also gives us the necessary confidence to ship our framed goods without damages.
